Hello, beautiful people. 👋 I hope you all have had a lovely week. I’m excited about this week’s Impressive Stuff. Enjoy!
To Stories App — This app creates pretty cool splash pages for Stories from any link you find online. While they have special pages designed for YouTube videos, Twitter, Podcasts, etc., they also can create something neat for any link you find online. In fact, here is an image created by the app linking to the app… How meta of me.
Moleskine Dotted Journal — My YouTube channel was basically built on two videos about bullet journaling. The journal used in those videos is the Moleskine Dotted Journal. It’s my go-to and has been for years. Fun fact, it’s Italian… so it’s pronounced Mohlehskeena.
The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring read by Andy Serkis — Andy Serkis played Gollum/Smeagol in the Peter Jackson Lord of this Rings films and is one heck of an actor AND director. Audible recently re-released the Lord of the Rings audiobooks with Andy Serkis reading them. I’m deep into The Two Towers. The Fellowship of the Ring was absolutely fantastic. Pick it up. You won’t regret it.
Everybody Writes by Ann Handley — Currently listening to this book that makes the argument that writing is behind most all publications in life. From Instagram posts, to emails, to YouTube videos, to Full length novels. I tried listening to this book a year or so ago but finally dove back in last week and have been enjoying listening on 1.25X speed. If you want to get better at writing (like me!), this is a good place to start.
Ray Ortlund - “Alive to God 11” - 1 Corinthians 6: 12-20 — My pastor sent this podcast episode to our guys group message the other day and it’s an awesome sermon by the great Ray Ortlund recorded back in 2018. It dives into sexuality and our bodies being sacred temples for God with our various body parts being extensions of Christ Jesus. I won’t spoil it, go listen for yourself and get ready to rethink some things!
That’s it for this week. I’m thinking five “stuffs” is a good amount for these “Impressive Stuff” newsletters. Do you agree? Have a good weekend. See you Tuesday!
OmGosh..I’ve been trying to write my biography for years. I do think it might have value for many. Reason...ah, well I’ve lived a full life and made enough unintentional mistakes for many and some I’ll live regretting the rest of my life. But my real reason, I find Y-h’s thread all through out and there for me. He never left this orphan, I did He all fell every time.
